SINGING WITH PATRICIA

Students of A1+ level sing the Milkshake Blues that Patricia Johnston, producer and publisher of children's songs, was so kind to send. Significantly, she decided to offer this song to the specific students after watching the video  of them enthusiastically performing Money Money Money.

Since we first used Patricia's song in the lesson, we haven't stopped singing  in this catchy tune and dancing to its beat. It was lucky that the lyrics ('may I have...') matched the topic of the current lessons with this class, which concern the multiple functions of modal verbs.

This is Patricia's YouTube channel containing songs for children who are learning the English language. Alternatively, those interested can visit her official webpage.

The comments on the song made by the students in the video, as well as Patricia herself, are well worth reading. You need to click on the word 'comments' underneath for them to appear on your screen.

  1. Hello, hello you wonderful, talented people at the Markaki School!

Your terrific interpretation of the Milk Shake Blues was a marvelous surprise for me!

You make singing in English look fun and that's what I like! You sang with lots of personality, creativity and great expression. This makes me want to sing with you! So, I did!

I hope you use the instrumental version to change the lyrics. I'm sure you will find some VERY clever new ideas...he he he!

I am very impressed with your work in English and your enthusiasm. You are so lucky to have Christina working with you and I'm so happy to have met her.

Thank you for the amazing souvenir from your dynamic class and for writing to me! Keep singing!

    Kisses from Paris,
    Patricia
