This is the homework assignment done by Christina Trialoni, one of the CPE students who attended the presentation on tolerance and black history a week ago. It is important to add that no corrections have been made in this piece of writing.
The composition topic was as follows:
Write an email (of about 300 words) to your classmate describing what we did in this lesson that he/she missed. Explain all the concepts we discussed and provide relevant examples. Finally, express your own opinion on how tolerant people are nowadays and suggest ways of improvement in case you think it is needed.
A quotation discussed in our presentation which Christina ends her letter with:
In my view, the informal letter on tolerance is not satisfactory. Spelling mistakes, grammatical mistakes found. Also, the presentation of 'tolerance' is not at all good.
ReplyDeleteTolerance is not from caste, colour or status. The way of behaviour from one human to another depend on many approaches. Children should be taught national integrity values in classroom teaching.
I do not usually answer to commenters who have no public blogger profile and I also delete the comment; however, I will make an exception this time.
ReplyDeleteIf you had read the 'purpose' page of the blog, you would have seen that I publish students' assignments the way they are produced by them, without changing them significantly. In this way, the published projects portray students' true progress and achievement. I need to point out here that Christina's assignment is more than satisfactory, concise and contains few mistakes.
The last part of your comment is rather ambiguous. Of course, tolerance has to do with being open to all different people and ideas and this is what this student is saying. National values are a quite irrelevant story.
