SUMMER COURSES HIGHLIGHTS

  • Terri Assimakopoulou, an amazing EFL teacher, our friend and allegedly an American spy (!) had a discussion with our Proficiency students, who adored her sense of humour and positive attitude. Heartfelt thanks to Terri and "Victoria's school" which kindly lent us one of its superb teachers.
  • With E' Class students, we have had thought-provoking presentations and debates concerning George Orwell's "1984". Thought control, distortion of the news and history and the effort to control and repress individualism are just a few signs of how accurate Orwell's predictions of the future were going to be.
  • The Proficiency students reflected on the various ways blogging has helped them to master the language by leaving written comments on their class blog.

This reminded us of a video we have uploaded on the school's YouTube channel, which is an actual interview of some of our student- bloggers.

  • One of the most energetic, resourceful and good-humoured teachers ever, Ruth Jenkinson, has just had her fourth child. Congratulations, Ruth!
