I would like to begin by thanking the TESOL Greece Board and the members for their immense kindness and positive energy during the Big Sig event on Sunday 4 November 2012. I would also like to inform the participants in my workshop on teacher and student blogging that there will be a 'second round' in the TESOL Greece March convention entitled 'Blog Wars Volume 2'.
Now that they have created their personal blog, it is time to discover the magical things they can do with it in their classroom, not just to impress or attract the interest of the students, but mainly to encourage them to do things they would not easily do otherwise, such as reading literature and blogging about it or contemplating on serious world issues. How is blogging connected to all these? To be revealed on 30 March!
Two people that deserve to be thanked wholeheartedly are Chuck Sandy and Barbara Hoskins- Sakamoto, the iTDi directors who generously offered two scholarships to the two lucky attendees of my workshop: Chara Kourlessi and Eleni Manou. More specifically, the International Teacher Development Institute (iTDi) gave a 6-month scholarship to Chara and Chuck personally gave the gift of one more scholarship for Eleni to attend the Breaking Rules Live course with John F. Fanselow.
The attendees should feel free to ask me any questions concerning problems they have possibly faced when setting up their blog and they should not forget that all material related to my workshop is safely recorded in an older post on my blog - a teaching practice they are urged to try out.
