EARTH DAY IN OUR SCHOOL: 22 APRIL 2010

Our new recycling bin! We had been meaning to do it for a long time, but Earth Day left no
margin for further delay! Younger students were happy to hear about what material can be
recycled and then pose in front of the camera as they were putting theory into practice!
D' Class students in charge of the lesson!

The result of an oral discussion about environmental problems and possible
solutions: a board full of messages written by students themselves. This class will
present their individual projects on environment in our school celebration in May.

The water cycle drawn on board by C' Class.
These students are going to put on a play in our end-of-year
celebration in which cheerful drops will enact this very cycle on stage.
This is what we did with the advanced learners who happened to have a lesson on that day. Creating a wall with personal thoughts and links discovered online formed an excellent opportunity for the learners to enrich their vocabulary on the topic, since this can also prove useful for the imminent exams. Webpages providing practice tests for ECCE and ECPE and scores on the completion of a test turned out to be a means for escaping paper as well as consolidating knowledge.
