This is a blog specially created to demonstrate the work done throughout the school year in our school. The students now have the opportunity to exhibit their English skills through the Internet and thus obtain a sense of achievement or even develop extra motives to do their otherwise 'boring' homework.
It is to be noted that only few mistakes have been corrected, as some of them would probably confuse the reader. Apart from that, the pieces of writing published always reflect the thoughts and progress made by the particular student.
On this page, you can also find a collection of interesting online texts, videos and links aiming at training students' critical and writing skills through the written comments they can leave under such posts.
Please keep in mind that all our pages are best viewed using Mozilla Firefox.
We hope you will enjoy reading our blog and manage to take the time to leave your comment. Have fun!
If you want to find a specific student's work on this page, simply key in his/her full name in the search box at the top of this column.
What you have to do to examine the pictures closer in order to read the text or look at the drawing is to click on the picture of your choice.
If you are looking for the kind of work produced in a particular class, click on one of the above labels.
Finally, you will be able to see the assignments previously published by clicking the phrase 'older posts' in the bottom right-hand corner of this page.

'Markaki Maria' private language school has had an active presence in the field of English language teaching for 33 years. What is more, our school has recently become an official centre in Heraklion for the Cambridge ESOL examinations (YLE, KET, PET).
Always having competent university graduates and native speakers as members of its staff, our school never stops paying special attention to each student's individual needs. Thus, lessons are designed to cater for all learning styles and abilities as well as cover a variety of topics.
We also take advantage of modern technology, such as the Internet, to exploit the vast potential it offers and to generate genuine interest in the subject matter of the lessons.
Besides, why can't English language lessons be entertaining as well as educational and informative? This is the case in our school, where every single lesson is inextricably related to the students' personal choice to attend it.
